A social enterprise wholly owned by three hospital foundations, ACTI-MENU is the largest organization in Quebec exclusively dedicated to the prevention and promotion of health and has Canada-wide activities.
A Social Enterprise: What Does that Mean?
ACTI-MENU is a private enterprise. However, its capital is wholly owned by certain hospital foundations, also involved in health prevention. The benefits resulting from ACTI-MENU are therefore re-invested in these foundations to support their prevention activities.
So, indirectly, clients who've chose Take Care of Your Health, take part in promoting health beyond their walls, making them genuine social agents.
